Well, everyone else is doing it, so why shouldn't we? The end of a year is a good time to look back and arbitrarily rank people, isn't it? If not, at least it is a lot of fun. Posted below is Celebrity Fashion's list of the top 10 most fashionable celebrities of 2009. No, you will not find Lady Gaga on our list. Why? Because we are ranking celebrities for being fashionable, not for being fashion disasters. Instead, our list begins with Katherine Heigl who is the very embodiment of Hollywood glamour and grace. You see, there is just way too much credit being given for "outrageous fashion" by most fashion publications today. We are purposely going to be different. We purposely reward elegance and class in our 2009 list. So if you are looking for Lady Gaga or Chris Brown you will just have to try another list. Are They Kidding? Celebrity News Service Names Lady Gaga The Best Dressed Celebrity Of 2009

There are times when we wonder if some people even know what fashion is anymore. After surveying their readers, Celebrity News Service has named Lady Gaga as the best dressed celebrity of 2009. Beyonce came in number 2. We can see Beyonce. At least she tries. But Lady Gaga? Are they kidding? Sometimes these awards go to the celebrity who is known for dressing the most outlandishly. But if that is what they are giving awards for, then they should not say it is for the "best dressed". That is just wrong. Lady Gaga deserves this award about as much as Ben Stein does. Let's get real. Lady Gaga sure grabs a lot of headlines for being outrageous. But it is just incorrect to say that Lady Gaga is fashionable. So do the other names deserve to be on the list? Perhaps. Beyonce, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift play the game well and should get some recognition. The only other name that looks way out of place on the list is Chris Brown at number 10. Other than that, you can make a decent argument for everyone else there. The list of the top ten best dressed celebrities of 2009 according to CNS is below.....

Miss Indiana 2009, Nicole Pollard, Joins The Boycott Against Ralph Lauren

A notable name has joined the boycott against Ralph Lauren. Miss Indiana 2009 has decided to jump on board the quest by documentary filmmaker Darryl Roberts to punish Ralph Lauren for using too many thin models in their advertisements. Nicole Pollard reportedly was there when Roberts and dozens of other activists waged their "peaceful" boycott in Chicago. The boycott was held in front of Ralph Lauren's store in downtown Chicago and it created a moderate amount of media buzz.

Nicole Pollard says that she is fed up with the kind of advertisements she has been seeing from Ralph Lauren and other designers....

"Women and girls are subjected to media and advertising images that are not realistic portrayals of the true customer."

In a statement, she described her reasons for joining the boycott....

"While Ralph Lauren is certainly not the only offender in the fight to have more diversity in advertisements, by speaking up so strongly against a giant in the fashion world, perhaps the rest of the fashion industry will see that women are fed up with the advertisements they have been shown for so long."

Well it certainly sounds like Pollard knows what she believes.

Perhaps she should boycott the Miss Indiana Pageant as well.

After all, when is the last time an overweight woman won that contest?

The truth is that this boycott of Ralph Lauren is more than just a little silly.

You can count us out.

We love Ralph Lauren.

There are about a million problems in the world that are more important than what Ralph Lauren's models look like.

Give us a break.

Perhaps the rest of us will conduct our own boycott against silly boycotts.

Perhaps we will buy double the amount of Ralph Lauren products that we would normally buy.

Yeah, that would show them.

Or at least it would be a lot of fun.
