Celebrity Fashion For A Night On The Town

For the fashionista, nothing is more fun than picking out the perfect, outfit for a night out on the town. Looking to your favorite celebrity style-makers provides endless inspiration for putting together the perfect outfit to paint the town red. Celebrity fashion trends can sometimes be difficult to incorporate into your daily life. Not many of us could pull off the candy-colored threads of Katy Perry or the daring costumes loved by Lady Gaga and Niki Minaj. Rather than try to mimic celebrity style, use the looks of your favorite icon as inspiration for your fashion collection.

Sequins, Sequins Everywhere

On the red carpet, 2012 has seen the return of glamor with sequined dresses for celebrities of all ages.

At the 2012 Cannes Film Festival everyone from Jane Fonda to Jada Pinkett-Smith showed up in long, body hugging sequined dresses. Unless you have a glamorous ball to attend, a long-metallic gown may not have a place in your closet.

Still, the metallic and sequin trend is a great idea for dressing up for a night on the town. Look for sequined tops or mini-skirts that will pair easily with neutral staples already in your closet. Or dress up your favorite little black dress with a killer pair of metallic heels.

A pop of sequins is also an excellent way to transition from work to night, without having to take the time to run home and completely change your outfit. Swap out a demure, office-worthy blouse for a sequin top. Pair with neutral slacks and a cute blazer for a day-to-night outfit. Pair your favorite daytime shift with a statement necklace, a sequined clutch and metallic sandals to take your look from the board room to the dance floor.

Blooming in Floral Spring flowers are not only popping up in the gardens, but are also being worn on the red carpet by some of America's sweethearts. Michelle Williams made a splash in her elbow length floral dress. Jessica Alba's style is always on point, including pairing her floral pants with a bright, orange top and teal jacket.

Though flower-power was popular in celebrity spring-fashion, it can be a tricky pattern to wear. Flowers can read boho-chic, sweet and demure or like you stole your outfit from your grandmother's closet. Keep your style chic by looking for unexpected, form-fitting pieces. A structured floral blazer, floral print skinny pants or a short party dress are not likely to remind anyone of Grandma's draperies.

In a floor-length, floral gown, Michelle Tractenberg proves flowers have a place on the red carpet. For a head turning floral gown, look for a piece in a soft, flowing fabric. A deep V-neck or leg-baring slit updates a maxi from demure to daring. Give yourself shape by defining your waist with a skinny, bold-colored belt. Finish off the look by pairing your floor-length floor with a statement cuff, giving the look a little edge.
