These centers are called "celebrity rehabs", because they are well-known for their famous clients. There are many of these high profile centers that offer the seclusion and luxury that many celebrities prefer. Celebrity rehabs can cost clients a large sum of money. This center is located in Malibu, California and has been the choice of popular celebs including Britney Spears, Robert Downey Jr. and Ben Affleck. A stay at this center can cost up to $8,855 for a week stay.

Do Celebrity Rehabs Really Work?

While the media focuses on the negatives of these rehabs, such as celebrities who continue their addictions after rehab, they avoid to address the positive. Many celebrities, who enter the doors of rehab centers, come out stronger than ever.

However, these success stories are not what sells. With that being said, rehabs should not be chosen based on factors such as luxury, but rather factors such as the treatment programs offered and the qualifications of the staff. This is true for any person who is seeking professional treatment. Celebrity rehab centers, or any rehab center for that matter, should not be a vacation experience that just focuses on things such as spa treatments. In order for any person to ensure the effectiveness of their rehab experience, it is important to find a program that focuses on the healing of a their mind, body and spirit.

Due to health complications from drug abuse, many celebrities have ended their journeys much too soon. Scarlett Johansson

Luke Wilson

Amanda Bynes

Today's celebrity fashion designers are not just wearing fashion but have a hand in making fashion too. This group makes up a small number of celebrities turned fashion designers but show that the trend is growing.

Each week’s show begins with a fashion show based upon a weekly challenge to expand each designer-contestant’s brands. The judges, real retail buyers for their stores, vie for the chance to an exclusive purchase and the right to display the winning contestant’s designs in their store. Designers-contestants who do not make any sales during that week’s show will be up for elimination unless Varvatos, Simpson, or Richie saves the designer from elimination.

The fourteen designer-contestants include people that have experience with major design houses, an engineer, a stay-at-home mom and more. Some of the contestants already have their own existing designer lines and get the opportunity to take their brand to the next level. “Fashion Star” tests the abilities of these hopeful designers by seeing how they react in these various real-life scenarios presented on the show. This is a chance for these up and coming designers, both self-taught and design-school educated, to achieve their dreams. One designer at season's end has the chance to receive $6 million in orders for his or her collection that will be offered by all three department stores.

NBC’s hoping that “Fashion Show” will follow the success of the “The Biggest Loser,” a reality-based TV competition for weight loss that airs the hour before. But even the “Biggest Loser” seems to slipping in the ratings and how long it can hold on is anyone’s guess. “Fashion Star” garnered about 4.4 million viewers for its debut show the week of March 15, 2012, and lists in the eighth position on NBC’s reality-based shows for the season. NBC’s “Fashion Star” competes against “Body of Proof,” currently in second position for the Tuesday 10 pm time slot and CBS’s “Unforgettable,” holding onto the top spot for the same Tuesday night time slot.

Fourteen designers compete in this hour-long reality show, but so far, “Fashion Star” doesn’t give enough time or depth into the designers themselves. The show moves quickly and touches down lightly on designers working on the designs with celebrity mentor input, then moves to a brief runway presentation and the final judging. With so much to cover in just an hour, it’s hard to get to know the designer-contestants – but that may change as designers are eliminated throughout the rest of the season.

While Varvatos is an excellent choice for a mentor, it’s hard to see where Richie and Simpson fit into the fashion world. Though both are celebrities, they are not well known as “fashionistas.” The show has potential, especially with the opportunity to purchase winning designs right away, but how that all pans out will be interesting to watch.

The real question is whether NBC’s “Fashion Star” will last. As of its debut, it’s running in third for the 10:00 pm Tuesday night time slot, which doesn’t look hopeful for the reality-based program. What it needs is more emphasis on the designing process and the designers themselves with some help from celebrity mentors who actually “know” fashion. Knowing what you like to wear is one thing, but knowing what looks good and appeals to the buying public is another thing.

Award-winning screenwriter Christopher Lloyd created the show with Steven Levitan. The pair worked together on previous sitcom hits including Wings, Frasier and Just Shoot Me. Modern Family centers on three families united through family patriarch Jay Pritchett (former Married...with Children star Ed O'Neill) and his much younger wife Gloria (the show's breakout star, Colombian native Sofía Vergara). Former Cheers star Shelley Long has appeared as Jay's ex-wife and Mitchell and Claire's biological mother. Tony-winner Nathan Lane made two guest appearances. The show, only in its third season, has earned an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series twice. Modern Family was recently sold into syndication for the fall of 2013 to certain Fox affiliates and the USA Network, an early sign of the show's road to immortality. Entertainment Weekly quickly hailed the show as the "best new sitcom" of the season when it debuted. TV Guide called the cast "our favorite family" when welcoming the show back for its second season in 2010.

Now, as for why Modern Family is such hit. As with any sitcom, it is not really one thing that makes it a success. It started with an idea conceived by the show's creators and executed by a unique team of actors. Many promising shows have this part down, but still fail. What really makes a sitcom a hit is the ability to connect with an audience. This is what makes us care about seemingly real characters like Roseanne and Dan Conner, Tim and Jill Taylor and Archie and Edith Bunker. There is some inherent quality that we find appealing, compelling or just plain funny. With Modern Family, it could also be that each family represented on the show is a reflection of the families that make up our society today. Even the show's core character, Jay, isn't your typical father figure. He's married a much younger woman who has a dynamic personality, to say the least. It's a combination of these elements that make Modern Family an anticipated weekly visit for millions of viewers.

Looking at what has worked for previous ensemble comedies illustrates what makes Modern Family work so well. Cheers, for example, had a collection of characters with very different personalities. It is highly unlikely anybody would care about a show that just focused on bartender Sam Malone or barmaid Carla Tortelli. When you add in characters like a know-it-all mailman and an often out-of-work accountant who spends more time at the bar than doing much of anything else, you have a cast of characters people are willing to invite into their homes week after week. The same is true with Modern Family. If you just focused on just Jay and Gloria or Mitchel and Cameron, you would have an entirely different sitcom. When you add in the other characters - from the kids to the revolving door of special guests and regulars - you have a group of characters people find engaging enough to welcome into their living room every week. It looks like Modern Family will be with us for a while.

When the No Doubt lady is dressed to the nines she looks like something out of a classic movie magazine. Stefani has always had a stunning, iconic beauty once seen in the silver screen stars of yesterday. When she's going casual, she still comes off as trendy and fashionable. Never seen in the same style for too long, Stefani still manages to stay one step ahead of trends wherever she goes and whatever she does. 4. Jessica Alba

The company made a post its Facebook page that related a story about an unnamed passenger who was removed from the flight. Referring to the passenger only as an "extremely vocal customer,” the airline stated that the would-be flier refused to turn his most likely free cell phone off when a flight attendant asked him to. Rather than comply, the passenger ignored the lighted seat belt sign and got up from his seat, taking his phone into the plane's lavatory.

"He slammed the lavatory door so hard the cockpit crew heard it and became alarmed, even with the cockpit door closed and locked," according to American's post. Further, "The passenger was extremely rude to the crew, calling them inappropriate names and using offensive language. Given the facts above, the passenger was removed from the flight and denied boarding."

In addition to posting about the incident on Facebook, American Airlines Tweeted that employees acted in compliance with federal safety regulations, which require passengers to turn off all electronic devices as the plane is taxiing and taking off.

Baldwin had earlier described his experience on Twitter, saying he was "reamed" by an airline employee for playing the crossword game as the plane waited on the tarmac. According to his spokesman, the actor is a devoted fan of the game. "He loves 'Words with Friends' so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it," said Matthew Hitzik.

Police were not called over the incident, and Baldwin was allowed to board another plane from the same airline and continue his flight to New York shortly afterwards. However, the actor later Tweeted a final parting shot at the attendant who kicked him of the plane and said that he's done with the airline for good. Baldwin’s final Tweet on the matter read, "Last flight w American. Where retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950's find jobs as flight attendants."

Rachel Ray and Guy Fieri are two of the network's most popular chefs as each hosts their own name sake show. Rachel Ray has been on the Food Network since 2001 with her show "30 Minute Meals." She has since hosted a variety of specials and spin offs including "Rachael Ray's Tasty Travels" and "$40 a Day." Guy Fieri has only been around since 2006 when he won "The Next Food Network Star." Since his debut, Fieri has hosted numerous specials and several live cooking shows. Both chefs are two of the biggest names on the Food Network and their own particular expertise will add greatly to their team's win or demise.

Both chefs will be given their own team of celebrities whom they must guide to win a variety of weekly challenges. The show, "Celebrity Cook-Off," will air for 6 weeks and it premieres January 1st at 9 pm Eastern time. There will be eight minor celebrities from Olympic athletes to musical artists that each enjoy cooking and being in the kitchen. Ray and Fieri will guide and help their teams of amateur cookers to win so that the eventual winner will be able to donate $50,000 to their favorite charity organization.

Each of the 6 shows will feature a challenging aspect of the food and culinary service industry. You can expect to cheer on your favorites as they manage a New York City food truck and as they try to launch a new restaurant. They will work with all types of the kitchen mediums from BBQ smokers to chopsticks. Expect the challenges to be full of dramatic surprises and comedic elements as the celebrities try to navigate the world of haute cuisine.

In order to narrow down the contestants and keep the field even, each team will have to offer their weakest link who will compete in a blind taste competition. The last two celebrities left will have to secure the title for their TV chef master and for the benefit of their charity. This is sure to be a fun filled show full of yelling, scurrying, cheating and laughs as you cheer on either Team Rachel or Team Guy to the finish line.

The contenders for the title of winning the "Celebrity Cook-off" challenge include Olympic gold medalist Summer Sanders, Golden Globe-nominated Lou Diamond Phillips, popstar Aaron Carter, N' Sync's Joey Fatone along with the Grammy-winning Coolio. You will also see recording star Taylor Dayne, comedian Cheech Marin and Miss USA 2011, Alyssa Campanella, all competing for the crown of best celebrity cook. It looks likes any hopes of a men vs. women cook-off is out of the picture which could have upped the ante of the prize even more!

There is no word yet as to which celebrities been placed on Rachel Ray's or Guy Fieri's team. You will just have to tune in to find out who is a proclaimed kitchen diva and who is said to be "a crime against food" (hint: he sure does think he is cool!).

The president of FX, John Landgraf, exclaims that, "We think [the producers] and Charlie Sheen have come up with a wonderful and hilarious vehicle for Charlie's acting talent. This a character we are very much looking forward to seeing him play." Landgraf continued by saying how successful "Two and Half Men" has been for the network and how they hope that "Anger Management" will bring the same results.

If FX is right abut the success of "Anger Management," then they plan on picking up the show for a total of 100 episodes. This is the number that will garner the sitcom syndication status in 2014. Marcus and Bernstein claim that the combination of power players involved with the show along with the success of FX will make the show a true winner with audiences.

Charlie Sheen has been pushing for the sitcom for some months now. He finally got the green light from the FX Networks who ordered 10 episodes. Joining the project is Bruce Helford, who will produce, along with Joe Roth and, of course, Charlie Sheen, who will also star in the main role. Charlie has had many experiences in front of the camera including 40 movies and shows like "Spin City" and "Two and Half Men."

Joe Roth has worked with Sheen before in major movie productions and he is looking forward to this project. Roth says that, "I have been fortunate to work with Charlie Sheen on six hit films. Now to have Charlie, the number one comedy star on TV, doing 'Anger Management,' feels like a perfect fit. I could not be happier than being back at Fox."

Despite his setbacks from earlier this year, Sheen seems to be doing well. However, Charlie has had volatile views concerning the continuation of his previous show, "Two and a Half Men," that had given him a combination of Emmy and Golden Globe nominations during his 7 year role. During the Emmy's this year, Sheen wished the show good luck and hopes that cast and crew would forgive him for his previous actions. However, he has recently been saying that he is not at all thrilled with how the show has been handled. "Two and Half Men" now stars Ashton Kutcher under the premise of Sheen being killed off.

Now that he is a free man in terms of obligations, Sheen can say whatever he wants since his lawsuits with Warner Brothers and Chuck Lorre have been dismissed. Let us just hope that this new sitcom, "Anger Management," keeps Sheen on his toes and ready to work when production starts in early 2012.

In other Tiger news, he is currently competing at the Australian Open in Sydney. Two years ago, ranked at number 1, he drew in crowds by the thousands. Today only 250 people have showed up thus far to cheer on the former champion. In fact, the Australian Open was Tiger's last major tournament win before his life fell into shambles. So far, Tiger has been off his game with hits that have been less then amazing when he hit two balls into the water hazard at The Lakes in Sydney. However, he has not lost the aura of a icon as seasoned professionals try not to get overwhelmed by playing the former champion. However, times have changed and Tiger is not the star he was before the scandals broke out. Now he has not won in two years and he is currently ranked 58 out of all the golfers in the world. Only time will tell if he can rise to the top once more.

Despite the hard times of Tiger Woods being splashed all over the news, he has had some bright spots in his life when he recently signed a very lucrative deal with Rolex in October. The luxury brand of watches claims that Tiger's career is far from over. Rolex states, " (Tiger) has all the qualities required to continue to mark the history of golf." It looks like being in the bottom 100 in the world still has not hurt Tiger's ability to bring in the endorsements. He lost many after his 2009 sex scandal broke out between his then wife Elin Nordegren. Since his departure from golf for the better part of a year, Tiger was able to focus on himself. Now that he is back in competition and signing endorsements, it is only a matter of time before Tiger Woods shows the world what a true champion looks like as he begins his climb to number one once more.
